Read both the general and department-specific criteria

The advertisement provides general rank requirements followed by detailed discipline-specific entries. Use both when assessing eligibility; seek written clarification from GBU where their application to your qualifications is uncertain.

Professor: The principal academic route requires a relevant PhD, ten publications, research score 120, ten years’ qualifying teaching/research experience and successful doctoral guidance. A separate professional route is described in the notice.

Associate Professor: Relevant PhD, master’s with 55%, eight years’ qualifying experience, seven publications and research score 75.

Assistant Professor: Check the applicable master’s/NET or qualifying PhD route and the specific technical or professional entry. A generic “PhD required” summary would not capture every listed discipline.

CareerAidHub advice: Before paying the fee, write down the exact qualification route you meet. Put the supporting certificate beside each requirement. Check essential and desirable conditions separately and avoid treating a desirable skill as a substitute for an essential degree.

Find your department and specialisation

The recruitment spans eight schools. Consult pages 3–15 of the detailed advertisement for the department, rank, category and specialisation combination. The official recruitment page also provides rank-specific application forms.

SchoolAdvertised departments / areas

Use your precise subject and research methods to identify a suitable entry. A school name alone is too broad to establish fit.

How to assess an advertised area

Editorial guidance: Compare the entry with your degree titles, thesis topic, publications, teaching and technical work. Identify where you have direct evidence and where the connection is only an interpretation. Ask the university about degree equivalence or allied-subject questions before relying on them.

How to apply and meet the receipt deadline

Download the prescribed rank-specific form, complete and sign it, and attach self-attested evidence. Send the package to:

The Registrar, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar–201312, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Use Speed Post, Registered Post or courier. Mark the envelope with the advertisement, rank and subject/specialisation. Also email a scanned copy of the completed form to facultyrecruitment2026@gbu.ac.in.

Receipt deadline: 13 November 2026, 5:30 p.m. Posting by that date is insufficient. The notice does not explicitly label the time zone; follow the Indian university’s stated receipt schedule.

Fees: UR/EWS/OBC ₹2,000; SC/ST ₹1,500; PH category ₹1,000. Payment is non-refundable, by NEFT/RTGS. Verify the bank details in the official notice and record the transaction reference in the form.

Prepare an application that is easy to verify

The following checklist is CareerAidHub guidance. Use the university form and advertisement to determine the actual required attachments.

  1. Choose the correct form. Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor forms are separate. Check that the selected department and category match the advertised entry.
  2. Organise academic evidence. Put qualifications, marksheets, eligibility-test records and doctoral details in a consistent order.
  3. Reconcile experience dates. Compare the form with appointment letters and service certificates. Identify overlapping periods before calculating totals.
  4. Support research claims. Prepare an index for publications, projects, supervision and other contributions. State your own role accurately and retain evidence for each claimed score.
  5. Complete every relevant section. The Professor form asks for educational qualifications, chronological employment, teaching and research experience, publications, supervision, projects and academic activities. Follow its self-assessment instructions.
  6. Check the final package. Confirm signatures, enclosures, payment proof, address and envelope label. Keep an identical scanned copy and dispatch record.

Delivery planning: Work backwards from receipt, allowing for courier or postal transit and a margin for delay. Keep the email record as well as physical-delivery tracking. Check GBU’s recruitment page for corrections before dispatch.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as GBU’s OCFD recruitment?

Is posting the form on the final date sufficient?

No. The university specifies receipt by the deadline and accepts no responsibility for postal delay.

Can I apply by email alone?

No. The notice requires the physical application by Speed Post, Registered Post or courier, plus a scanned copy by email.

Which application form should I use?

GBU provides separate forms for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Select the form for your rank.

Does a PhD automatically establish eligibility?

Are the advertised amounts take-home salaries?

No. The table reports academic pay scales. Ask GBU about applicable allowances and deductions.

Is a minimum academic score enough for selection?

Can CareerAidHub review my application?

The Career Accelerator Program offers profile and document feedback. GBU alone determines eligibility, shortlisting and appointment.
