Computer Science, AI and Supercomputing

The CSE department and Centre for AI and Supercomputing advertise all three ranks. Applicants need a Computer Science PhD or a closely related doctorate; senior candidates should demonstrate research leadership, funding and mentoring. Nine research groups are described in the official call.

Application: Email one PDF to deepthi.ma@mahindrauniversity.edu.in: cover letter identifying rank and research group, CV/publications, research statement (2–3 pages), teaching statement (1–2 pages), up to three papers, and at least three referee contacts. Use the stated identifier “Faculty Application (CSAI) – [Rank] – [Group Number]” in the cover letter; mirroring it in the email subject is an editorial recommendation.

Applicant guidance: Read the group descriptions before choosing your primary group. Explain the question you want to pursue, your methods and what you would contribute. Cross-disciplinary relevance should be supported by evidence from your work rather than a long list of interests.

High-Power Microwave and RF Energy Systems

This notice offers Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor designations according to credentials and experience. It asks for a relevant doctorate, experimental HPM/directed RF expertise, project experience and evidence through publications, systems or patents. Areas include pulsed power, microwave engineering, RF integration and electromagnetic simulation.

Send a CV to ruby.bhardwaj@mahindrauniversity.edu.in, subject “Faculty – HPM / RF Energy Systems”. Duties include teaching, establishing experimental facilities, supervising students and funded research. Read the HPM/RF requirements.

Preparation guidance: Distinguish equipment you operated from systems you designed or commissioned. Describe your role in funded projects and identify practical requirements for proposed laboratory work. Share only material you are authorised to disclose.

School of Design Innovation

The faculty archive includes an all-rank Design Innovation notice requiring a relevant PhD and 3–5 years of design practice. It directs CVs to umang.sharma@mahindrauniversity.edu.in with subject “School of Design Innovation”.

A separate experienced-practitioner notice covers industrial, communication, interaction and apparel design. It accepts a Design bachelor’s or master’s degree and welcomes non-PhD applicants with 4+ years of practice. Its subject is “Application for Faculty position – SoDI”. These are separate notices; confirm the applicable rank and qualification route. Review both official Design listings.

Applicant guidance: Organise examples around your design process, individual contribution and teaching relevance. A portfolio can help explain your work, but confirm the preferred submission format before sending large files.

Choose the appropriate rank

Use the specific notice: The generic Assistant Professor and Associate Professor pages repeat the same experience threshold. This guide does not treat those generic entries as a universal rule. Ask recruitment staff to confirm rank eligibility where information conflicts.

CareerAidHub guidance: For an early-career application, establish research independence and teaching readiness. For a senior application, document leadership with evidence: project responsibilities, funding roles, supervision and curriculum development. Describe completed and ongoing work separately, and give the status of each publication or grant accurately.

Salary and appointment questions

The CSE/AI notice advertises compensation and research support without a numeric salary band. Do not apply its package automatically to other schools. Check the CSE/AI offer details.

Before accepting: Request written confirmation of designation, gross pay, benefits, probation, teaching load, research resources, doctoral supervision arrangements and joining date. Discuss laboratory or computing needs during selection so that expectations can be assessed before an offer is accepted.

Application checklist

  1. Choose the subject-specific notice and check that recruitment remains available.
  2. Match your qualifications to that notice and resolve rank questions.
  3. Prepare the required documents using the stated page limits.
  4. Verify the recipient and subject line against the official page.
  5. Check every attachment, submit, and retain a copy.

The central careers page asks applicants to include date of birth on the resume. For general recruitment queries it lists careers@mahindrauniversity.edu.in. Use the role-specific application address where provided.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20 November a deadline for every Mahindra University post?

No. The full-consideration date applies to the CSE/AI call. Check timing separately for other notices.

Can I assume that an undated notice is still accepting applications?

No. Its presence on the website does not confirm an unfilled position; ask the listed contact.

Are the Design qualification routes identical?

No. The archive contains distinct PhD and experienced-practitioner notices. Confirm which applies to your application.

How should I choose a research group?

Use the detailed CSE/AI group descriptions and explain a specific match to your work.

Should I send the same documents to every school?

Tailor your materials and follow each notice’s document requirements.

How should I report supervision and funding?

State your role, dates and current status accurately; distinguish completed supervision from ongoing work.

Can I use the generic rank pages as the only eligibility reference?

Clarify inconsistent information with the university and use the subject-specific notice for preparation.

Where should I verify changes?

Check the university’s careers page and the relevant role notice before submitting.
