Scholarship Coverage
Successful applicants will receive:
Living Stipend: A tax-free allowance equivalent to the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) rate, which is approximately AUD $33,000 per annum (indexed annually).
Research Project Support: Additional financial assistance for laboratory work, equipment, consumables, and software essential to the proposed project.
Fieldwork and Travel: Funding is also available for field trips, data collection, and travel related to research and academic conferences.
Supervision and Infrastructure: Joint supervision by leading experts from AIMS and JCU, and access to AIMS’ vessels, laboratories, and field stations.
