CGRS D supports doctoral-level research training in eligible research-intensive programmes across health, natural sciences and engineering, and social sciences and humanities.

How long can the CGRS-D research proposal be?
The SSHRC route requires a research proposal of up to two pages. It should explain the research question, context, objectives, methodology, significance and expected contribution in language understandable to a multidisciplinary review committee.
How many referees are required?
A complete SSHRC CGRS-D application requires two Letters of Appraisal. One referee should normally know the applicant’s research ability very well, such as a current or previous research supervisor, while the second should also be able to provide meaningful evidence of research potential and achievements.
