International BMS Fellowship at Peking University

The IBMSF is one of the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering’s flagship early-career schemes. It is intended to help outstanding researchers develop an independent research profile and build toward a permanent academic career.

The fellowship page welcomes applicants from chemistry and also encourages strong candidates from science and engineering outside the core listed areas when the proposed work fits the College’s research environment.

Fellowship Package

Application Materials and Submission

Peking University asks applicants to prepare the following materials:

• CV, maximum 2 pages;
• full list of peer-reviewed publications;
• research proposal, maximum 2 pages;
• three reference letters, including one from the doctoral or current postdoctoral adviser and one from the prospective CCME adviser.

The application materials are compiled into a single PDF and submitted by email to the contact listed by CCME; referees send their letters directly.

Selection

CCME states that applications are reviewed by a panel and shortlisted candidates are invited to interview. Selection considers the candidate’s potential to establish distinctive research and innovation activity, proposal quality and relevance to research, industrial or policy stakeholders. The College aims to communicate the final outcome within six weeks after receiving the application.
