Historical eligibility
The archived call required a defended relevant PhD in engineering, science or mathematics, a strong doctoral record, and at least two peer-reviewed publications or recognised conference presentations. IIT Delhi graduates needed a degree awarded at least six months before applying. Conflicting professional commitments were excluded.

Research fit
The earlier call covered energy and sustainability, quantum technologies, catalysis, organic synthesis, CCUS, thermal and electrical energy systems, construction materials, energy storage, AI for energy, SEM/AFM characterisation, high-performance computing and health photonics.
Applicant guidance: Choose a focused research question and explain the methods, facilities and collaborators needed to deliver it. Prepare a realistic first-year plan with measurable outputs.
Funding and responsibilities
The historical package included a monthly stipend, visa sponsorship, annual home-country round-trip airfare and medical insurance. No numerical stipend was published. Duties spanned research, laboratory development and research events.
Questions for a future offer: Ask about the stipend amount, housing costs, relocation arrangements, laboratory access, mentoring and renewal conditions before accepting.
