Use Round 2’s Annexures 1–2 to check degree backgrounds and specific expertise. The general careers page lists Chemistry and Physics, but they are not standalone areas in this Round 2 advertisement.
Rank-wise eligibility

Preparation advice: Make your employment dates and rank equivalence easy to check. Document supervision, teaching, research funding and leadership contributions with evidence rather than general claims.
Appointment and benefits
The appointment is for Abu Dhabi and gives no entitlement to a Delhi-campus role. Contracts may be renewed subject to performance and applicable regulations.
The campus describes salary, housing, insurance, annual travel, relocation and visa support; precise amounts and conditions belong in the formal offer. No numerical salary is verified here.
Before accepting: Request written clarification of contract length, probation, teaching load, research resources, housing arrangements, dependent coverage and renewal criteria. Personal tax obligations may depend on circumstances outside the UAE; seek appropriate advice if needed.

Preparation advice: Keep dates and titles consistent across documents. Explain your own contribution to collaborative publications and obtain referee consent before submission.
How to apply
- Read the current advertisement and its annexures using the official sources below.
- Register for the Round 2 regular faculty opening. Select your domain, up to two sub-domains and intended rank.
- Review your details carefully: the portal warns that name, email, mobile number and date of birth cannot be changed after registration.
- Verify your email, sign in and complete the full application with supporting documents.
- Submit before the deadline and retain the final acknowledgement. Account registration alone does not complete an application.
Use the current Round 2 portal. The previous article’s 31 March 2026 deadline belonged to the earlier round.
Selection and application preparation
The campus describes application screening, research/teaching seminars and committee interviews. References or supporting records may be requested. Interview arrangements can be remote or hybrid depending on circumstances.

Explain resource needs, potential collaborators, initial milestones and how students could participate. Avoid presenting unconfirmed facilities or funding as available.
For the teaching statement, identify courses you can teach and explain how you would assess learning. Senior applicants should describe documented programme development, mentoring and research leadership. Prepare a research talk that distinguishes completed findings from proposed work.

Separate visiting faculty route
The campus also has an open visiting faculty registration route, listed to close on 31 December 2026. This is a separate short-term appointment pathway.
Its portal requests a CV, statement of purpose, academic/industry contributions and work plan; referee details are optional, and an employer no-objection certificate is needed where applicable. Consult its own advertisement for eligibility and terms rather than applying regular-faculty requirements to it.

Is postdoctoral experience compulsory for every applicant?
Check the Assistant Professor wording in the eligibility section and the discipline-specific conditions. Do not assume one rule applies to every rank.
Is Arabic required?
The general campus language is English, but the Round 2 Emirati and Gulf Studies criteria specifically require Arabic proficiency.
Are regular and visiting faculty applications interchangeable?
No. They have separate portals, documents and appointment terms.
Is the salary fixed or publicly quantified?
