Research Areas and Recruiting Groups
EMBL’s PhD programme spans molecular life sciences and strongly encourages interdisciplinary applications. Applicants may come from biology as well as chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, molecular medicine and related areas.
Research topics can include molecular and cellular biology, genomics, structural biology, bioinformatics, imaging, developmental biology, infection biology, biophysics and computational life science. Eligibility
- Applicants of all nationalities are welcome.
- You must hold, or expect to obtain before starting at EMBL, a university degree that formally qualifies you to enter a PhD or equivalent programme in the country where that degree was awarded.
