ACTION PLAN

How to Apply by 15 October 2026

  1. Choose your faculty track: on-campus teaching/research or WILP off-campus.
  2. Check the live vacancy matrix: confirm that your discipline, sub-area and preferred campus show a relevant current requirement.
  3. Check the rank: compare your PhD status, post-PhD experience, publications, supervision and sponsored-R&D record with the published eligibility.
  4. Prepare a complete application: update the CV, research evidence, teaching profile and referee information before opening the portal.
  5. Select campuses carefully: BITS considers the application for each campus you indicate.
  6. Submit online only: soft-copy or hard-copy CV submissions outside the official application system are not accepted for the main recruitment process.
  7. Submit before 15 October 2026. Save the confirmation and monitor your email for recruitment communication.
Current priority: because only a short application window remains, candidates should verify sub-area availability first, then complete the official online form rather than spending time on unsolicited email applications.
CAREERAIDHUB APPLICATION STRATEGY

How to Make a Strong BITS Pilani Faculty Application

The points below are CareerAidHub editorial guidance, not additional BITS eligibility requirements.

Match a live sub-area

Use the current campus-specific vacancy matrix; do not apply only because the broad department is listed.

Show independent research

Explain the specific questions you can build into an independent programme at BITS.

Quantify academic outputs

Make publications, sponsored grants, PhD supervision, patents, software or industry outcomes easy to verify.

Prepare the seminar early

Research and teaching plans are assessed during the technical seminar, not only in the final interview.

Choose campuses genuinely

Select only locations you would seriously join; each selected campus can trigger separate academic review.

Use credible referees

List referees who know your research and can respond promptly if BITS requests references.
