Understand shortlisting and other notices
JNU’s careers page publishes provisional and final shortlisting lists, including RC/75/2026. Dates attached to those lists concern their respective notice process; they do not establish a new vacancy application window.
Practical guidance: Existing applicants should locate their exact advertisement and post number, read the linked notice, and follow its representation instructions where applicable. A notice reporting no applications received does not by itself reopen a post.
How to apply to the guest call
- Open the current guest advertisement from the official sources below.
- Check the post-specific qualification and Sanskrit requirement.
- Access CU-CHAYAN through JNU’s official link and select the correct advertisement and post.
- Complete the form and upload the evidence requested in the notice.
- Submit the complete application before the guest deadline and retain confirmation.
For future regular recruitment, wait for a dated new advertisement or verified extension. Do not apply to an expired round on the assumption that an accessible page is still accepting applications.
Documents and preparation
The guest notice requests photograph/signature, qualifications, marksheets, teaching/research evidence, applicable NET/PhD records, publications, employer NOC and relevant identity/category records.
CareerAidHub editorial guidance: Build a document checklist directly from the selected notice. Check that degree titles, specialisation, employment dates and publication details match your supporting evidence. If relying on an exemption or relaxation, identify the exact clause and obtain the required certification.
- Confirm advertisement and post number.
- Check specialisation and qualification fit.
- Verify any exemption or category claim.
- Prepare readable scans and consistent dates.
- Resolve employer permission where applicable.
- Save the complete submitted form and acknowledgement.
- Monitor official corrections and interview communications.
Academic application guidance
Present your research and teaching record with verifiable evidence. Explain your contribution to collaborative work rather than listing outputs without context. For a specialised guest appointment, describe how your expertise fits the teaching need and your availability for the advertised semester.
For future regular posts, map your profile to the advertised specialisation before writing a cover letter or research plan. Use research-score calculations only where the specific notice requires them, and retain supporting records. These are preparation recommendations, not additional JNU selection rules.
