Areas of Specialization
School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (sAIDE)
Academic background: A strong foundation in AI/ML is essential. Applicants typically hold a B.Tech. in CSE, EE, ECE, or Mathematics & Computing, or a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, followed by a Ph.D. in AI/ML.
Research expectations: The school prioritizes candidates with a robust research portfolio—A/A-ranked conference publications*, high-impact journals, patents, and evidence of sustained contributions to AI methods or applications. Because AI research increasingly spans domains, applicants who can bridge AI with healthcare, sustainability, manufacturing, or public systems will be particularly competitive.
Teaching contributions: Faculty are expected to design rigorous graduate and undergraduate AI curricula, mentor student research, and engage in collaborative projects that translate algorithmic advances into measurable societal impact.
Department of Biomedical Engineering
Academic background: Applicants should be engineering graduates with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely allied field.
Targeted expertise: The department welcomes candidates specializing in Biomechanics (fluid, soft tissue, hard tissue), Medical Devices (electronics/electrical, imaging systems, implants), and Bioinformatics/Computational Bioengineering.
Translational focus: Emphasis rests on multidisciplinary research and clinic/industry partnerships. Candidates who can
Educational Qualification
All applicants must hold a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, coupled with an excellent academic record. This baseline ensures readiness for advanced teaching duties, doctoral advising, and independent research leadership.
