Corrections, Updates and Ranking Reconsideration Policy
This policy explains how CareerAidHub handles factual corrections, content updates, clarifications, ranking reconsideration requests and material new evidence after publication.
01 · Accuracy & correction types
Accuracy, updates and what can be corrected
CareerAidHub publishes career, academic, research, institutional, industry and opportunity-focused content for a global audience. We aim to make content accurate, clear, useful and responsibly presented at the time of publication.
Public information can change after publication. Deadlines may close, application links may move, organizations may update their websites, companies may restructure and ranking evidence may evolve.
What can be corrected or updated
Factual errors
Incorrect names, dates, deadlines, titles, locations, links, eligibility details or other verifiable facts.
Outdated information
Closed opportunities, revised program details, changed links, rebranding, restructuring or updated institutional pages.
Material omissions
Important missing information that may affect reader understanding and is supported by credible evidence.
Ranking evidence
Material evidence that may affect eligibility, peer group, classification or published assessment.
Types of editorial request
| Request type | When it applies | Possible action |
|---|---|---|
| Factual correction | Published information is demonstrably inaccurate. | Correct the relevant text, link, date, figure or description. |
| Content update | Information was accurate earlier but changed after publication. | Update details, add an update note or direct readers to the current official source. |
| Clarification | The content is not necessarily wrong but needs clearer wording or context. | Qualify a claim, refine phrasing or add supporting context. |
| Ranking reconsideration | Material evidence may affect eligibility, category placement, score or ranking outcome. | Review the evidence; a ranking change may or may not follow. |
02 · Ranking reconsideration
Ranking reconsideration requests
CareerAidHub rankings are editorial assessments based on the stated scope, methodology, peer group, assessment period and evidence available during review. Reconsideration may be appropriate where material evidence was unavailable, misunderstood, incomplete, outdated or changed after publication.
Eligibility
Whether the organization fits the stated ranking scope.
Peer group
Whether classification is appropriate for the organization type.
Ranking position
Whether material evidence could affect the published assessment.
Profile wording
Whether a description needs correction, qualification or update.
Unranked status
Whether additional evidence supports ranked or category inclusion.
Further review
Whether evidence requires deeper editorial review before action.
03 · Evidence & review
Evidence requirements and editorial review process
Stronger evidence may include
- official institutional or company webpages;
- official notices, announcements or press releases;
- government, regulator or public-agency records;
- recognized databases or registries;
- formal organization documents or published reports;
- official clarification from an authorized representative.
Evidence standard
Requests should identify the exact CareerAidHub page, the specific concern, the requested change and the supporting evidence. Vague, promotional or unverifiable statements may receive limited weight.
Review workflow
1. Receive
Review the request, page URL and evidence.
2. Classify
Correction, update, clarification or reconsideration.
3. Verify
Assess authority, relevance, recency and specificity.
4. Assess impact
Determine whether the issue materially affects readers or ranking interpretation.
5. Decide
Correct, update, clarify, reconsider, defer or decline.
6. Record
Add a correction/update note where the change is material and transparency is useful.
CareerAidHub may prioritize urgent corrections involving active deadlines, live recruitment notices, fellowship calls, misleading application links or material factual errors that could affect reader decisions.
04 · Request limits & time-sensitive content
What may not qualify and how time-sensitive content is handled
Requests that may not qualify
- preference for more promotional wording;
- general disagreement with editorial assessment;
- claims unsupported by reliable evidence;
- requests to remove fair limitations or disclaimers;
- commercial interest in a better ranking position;
- minor style preferences that do not affect accuracy.
Time-sensitive opportunities
Jobs, fellowships, admissions, scholarships, grants, events, internships, faculty positions and postdoctoral opportunities may change quickly after publication.
Deadlines
May close, change or be extended.
Links
May be changed, redirected or removed.
Eligibility
Applicant criteria may be revised.
Instructions
Application procedures may be updated.
Withdrawals
Opportunities may be cancelled or withdrawn.
Official source
Readers should verify current details before acting.
05 · Sponsored content & editorial control
Sponsored-content corrections and final editorial control
Sponsored, advertising-supported, editorially supported or paid-profile content may be corrected or updated where information is outdated, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading.
A sponsor, advertiser or partner does not control final editorial wording. CareerAidHub may decline unsupported, exaggerated or misleading changes.
Possible editorial outcomes
Accepted actions
Factual correction, clarification, link update, source addition, update note or ranking review.
Editorial limits
Ranking changes are not guaranteed; unsupported claims may be declined; final wording remains editorial.
A correction or update does not necessarily mean the original publication was made in bad faith. It may reflect new evidence, changed public information, improved documentation or revised official sources.
