- Be citizens,refugees, or British Protected Persons residing permanently in least developed or vulnerable Commonwealth nations as defined by global aid classifications.
- Possess a first-class or upper second-class (2:1) honours degree—or a lower second-class degree coupled with a relevant Master’s qualification.
- Be ready to begin full-time PhD study in the UK by the start of the academic year (September/October).
- Have not previously registered for a PhD or MPhil leading to a PhD in the UK or their home country.
